Regulations and energy policies have a direct impact on the success of energy markets, market participants and stakeholders, and products and services. In an unbundled energy market, the responsibility for the functioning of the system is distributed to a large number of actors. Therefore, the regulator plays a very important role by setting clear rules and continuously monitoring the market.
The “Regulation” module will focus on state-of-the-art approaches to energy regulation presented from an academic as well as practical point of view. Special emphasis will be given to the presence of barriers to regulation and techniques to overcome them. Specifics of the SEE market will also be covered.
