Distribution module
As competition drives change in many parts of the power industry, distribution companies face challenges in ensuring their systems are able to handle new requirements. At the forefront is the need to guide distribution grid planning efforts and to better understand the tradeoffs in ensuring reliability, minimizing investment costs, and meeting customer needs.
Besides describing the role of distributors in the market, the “Distribution” module will include topics dealing with investment and quality of service, distributed generation as well as organizational restructuring (particularly proper unbundling) and smart metering from a distribution point of view.
