RES - GoO workshop
Renewable energy sources are coming to the forefront of EU energy policy due to their importance regarding security of supply, self-sufficiency and distributed generation. To properly integrate electricity from renewable source into the market, a tool is needed to track its attributes in order to distinguish it from “regular” or “grey” electricity. Guarantees of origin, electronic certificates that certify that a certain amount of energy was generated in a certain amount of time in a certain power plant, can be such a tool.

The RES-GoO Workshop, which will follow the Government module, will cover policy issues regarding guarantees of origin, as well as the legislative and regulatory framework and practical implementation examples.
