Launch of the Energy Training Programme for South East Europe
On 18 September a Global Opportunities Fund project - Energy Training Programme for SE Europe will be launched at Jable Castle near Ljubljana. The project initiated by the British Embassy Ljubljana will be implemented together with the Slovenian Ministry of the Economy, Centre for European Perspective and Borzen, the power market operator. The training of energy experts from Southeast Europe will start in November 2007 and finish in April 2008. It will cover all the relevant energy topics, with focus on the electricity sector.
The conference will be attended by high officials from Croatia, BIH, F.Y.R Macedonia, Romania, Albania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Turkey, Moldavia, Ukraine, UNMIK as well as Slovenia. The UK will be represented by Prince Andrew, the Duke of York.
