Alfred Schuch
Energy Community Secretariat
Alfred Schuch is the Head of Hydrocarbon Unit at the Energy Community Secretariat. He is responsible for the proper implementation by the Contracting Parties of the Energy Directives
And gives guidance and assistance to the Contracting Parties for the adoption of security of supply statements.
Mr Schuch is mechanical engineer and holds a Masters degree in Business Administration. He started his professional career working as a project manager for the development of the supply and disposal of operational supplements for industries and later as a project manager for planning and economic assessment of gas infrastructure. In 2002 – 2005 he was appointed the head of the "Cross Border Transport” task force by ERGEG. He also participated in the development of the "Guidelines for Good Practice for Transmission- and Storage System Operators".
He has been the Head of Hydrocarbon Unit at the Energy Community Secretariat since 2006.
