Uroš Salobir
Slovenian Power System Operator ELES
Uroš Salobir received a degree in engineering and an M.Sc. degree from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 1997 and 2002, respectively. In 1997 he started his career with ELES, the Slovenian Power System Operator, where he currently works as Assistant Director of the System Operations. He is an active member of the UCTE and ETSO associations, where he is responsible for the Regional Balance Management project in southeastern Europe. Owing to his rich experience in power system information systems, in 2007 ELES entrusted him with the management of the Slovenian Energy Management System upgrade project. His areas of interest include power system control, ancillary services operation and markets.
