Dr Peter D Cameron

Dr Cameron, born in Glasgow and educated in Edinburgh University, is professor of International Energy Law and Policy and Director of Research at the CEPMLP (www.cepmlp.org), University of Dundee, UK, Director of the Annual EU Workshop on Energy Law & Policy, at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies (RSCAS), European University Institute (EUI), Italy, and former Director of the International Institute of Energy Law, University of Leiden, The Netherlands from 1986-1997.

He has been a legal adviser on oil, gas and electricity issues for more than 20 years, specialising in oil and gas legislation and contracts, international nuclear law, EU gas and electricity legislative reform and regulatory issues.

His most recent books are “Competition in Energy Markets: Law and Regulation in the European Union” (OUP, 2nd edition in March 2007, 708pp) and “Legal Aspects of EU Energy Regulation” (OUP, 2005, 632pp). He is currently working on a book on international energy investment law for OUP, scheduled for publication in the second half of 2008.
