Luke Jemmett has been involved in energy market development for 16 years. He started his career with the International Petroleum Exchange in 1992 where he performed a number of business and product development roles including Project Manager for the creation of the IPE’s UK electricity futures contract. During this period he was also a member of the market design expert group during the DTIs Review of Electricity Trading Arrangements.
In 2000, Luke joined the European Energy Exchange as Senior Product Developer looking specifically at the design and implementation of the EEX’s German Power Futures Contract.
Luke joined GFI in March 2004 as Head of Energy Market Development where he is responsible for implementing GFI’s operational and Business Development strategies within European Energy Markets.
